She leans forward into the unknown,
a blindfold soft against her skin,
her sight surrendered so her body can feel
the world in other ways.

She becomes a figurehead,
the carved woman at the front of a vessel,
chin lifted into the wind,
hair pulled back by unseen currents,
steady, brave, trembling only where
the waves meet her breath.

Behind her,
there is a presence
warm, certain, guiding
a force that rocks her
the way the sea rocks a wooden hull:
firm, rhythmic, unavoidable,
something she can neither see nor stop
only surrender to.

She looks ahead into darkness and light,
the blindfold turning everything
into pure sensation.

She feels the world rising against her chest,
feels the tide beneath her knees,
feels herself becoming
both vessel and voyage.

And every motion behind her
rolls through her like surf,
lifting her forward,
carrying her deeper,
until she is nothing but breath and waves,
a woman at the prow
riding a storm she can’t see
but fully, fiercely feels.
